International Smorgasborg
It is an annual tradition at Heritage to have an International Cafe where various caregroups present a country with food and decorations. This year our group did Greece, with tzatkisi, hummas, pita bread, greek salad and spanakopita. Other countries represented were Canada, Mexico, Italy, Germany, one African country (can't remember the name), and even the North Pole (they served ice cream sundays - very fun - Nat especially enjoyed this part of dinner). The food is always great, but the best part is the fellowship with others.

Two natural beauties looking extra beautiful!
I love watching these girls grow into beautiful young women. Even though only one is ours, we consider them both our girls. They are naturally beautiful, but it is fun to see them explore makeup and trying to present themselves in a way that is flattering, yet modest.

Committed for a lifetime... accomplished 4!
Another year has gone by, so out comes another wedding photo. This one means a lot to me as it captures how we envisioned the start of our marriage... done in prayer and with God's blessing.
One thing I am very thankful in our marriage is the prayers of others. We were honored to be blessed by Pastor Ron on our wedding day, and I know that many others have prayed for our marriage since that time.
We choose to honor God in our lives, and try to live that out in our relationship with each other. I think that is the hardest place to try to be in God's will, as it is also a place that contains the potential for most hurt. I love my husband, but since he's my most comfortable person, sometimes he doesn't get the best in me. Marriage is one of the hardest things I've ever done, and I think it is because I can't do it on my own. I need to rely on my husband, and more importantly on God.
I do pray that in this next year we will continue to strive to live out God's will in our marriage, and continuing to bring our relationship before God in prayer. I also hope that others continue to pray for us, as we cannot make it to a lifetime without God's hand in our marriage.
Happy Anniversary honey! Four down, a lifetime yet to come!
